"이상의 집"을 통인동 일대로 확장하기 위한 모빌리티 개념의 일환으로써, Box 모바일 갤러리를 구축한 후 그 안에 "A 이상의 집"의 드로잉(by Various Artists)들을 담아, 통인동 일대에 게릴라성으로 설치, 전시되는 프로젝트.

This is a twenty minutes performance composed of sound, movements, and Yi Sang' poetry. We recite
poems nº 1, 8, and 10 of O-Gam-Do [Crow's Eye View], the most famous, mysterious, and post-modern
poetry of Yi Sang.
In O-Gam-Do, especially in poem nº 10, he expresses or hides the fear and anxiety of a young
intellectual of the colonial period. We find that the poems associate with the basics of human nature as
well as with the absurd world of Franz Kafka.
The thirteen children may rush down the alley, or may not; they're all in fear, or they're all fearful. The
alley may be blind, or may be not.
Each child in the alley cries, “ I'm in panic”, “I'm frightened,” “I'm terrified.”
A man in a room sees the torn wallpaper in his room and thinks “it looks like a butterfly.”
Two men in the room. Father and son. The father is dozing. The son sees his own face on his father's left
face, and his father's father's face, and his father's father's father's face... and suddenly feels fear...
We want this performance to be our respect to the poet and a lamentation for his death in Tokyo without
a known reason.

material for the works. He is interested in how indeterminacy can allow the emergence of poetic
resonance.
One aspect of his work is an interest in the information content in, and the documentary aspect
of, sound recording. One current sound recording collection project, Going places with...
(someone), deals with the notion of the power / powerlessness of the human voice and the
imprisonment and murder of journalists worldwide.
Ian-John is an artist from Auckland and has studied sound art and improvisation with instrument
builder Phil Dadson. He was an artist in residence in Anyang with the Seoksu Art Project in 2010.

composed of autonomous fragments that consciously disregarded conventional narrative structures.
In this fragment one can listen to a voice-off recitation of French poet Francis Ponge’s description of
the properties of an orange.

Filmed and edited with an urgency to respond to recent events that took place in Korea in 2009 and,
most especially, to not allow them to fall into oblivion, this short video documentary traces a
disturbing impression of a narrowing and enclosing of the social and political space in Korea, that finds
perhaps a fitting visual - and physically real - translation in the images of the City Hall’s siege with
police buses.

walls of their property, their constructed reality thus becoming a claustrophobic physical and
psychological space.
In the microscopic scale of the affective relations inside the family, power and oppression structures
that organise and maintain ‘social order’ are reproduced.

David Prater is an Australian poet, Currently based in Karlskrona, Sweden, doing a 12 month
post-doctoral research project on electronic literature. He is the editor of Cordite Poetry Review, an
online jourrnal of Australian poetry and poetics. In 2011, Cordite will publish a special

post-doctoral research project on electronic literature. He is the editor of Cordite Poetry Review, an
online jourrnal of Australian poetry and poetics. In 2011, Cordite will publish a special

LINGERING IMPRESSIONS OF A WALK TO THE MOUNTAIN
산행 여정은 이상의 단편 ‘산촌 여정’에서 차용되었다. 근대부터 상업지역으로 알려진
명동에서 시작하여 남촌일대(일본인들이 주로 집거했던)현재의 남산 아래에 위치한
용산구 이태원(일제 강점기에는 일본군의 사격장으로 사용되었고, 이후 미군 부대로
사용되었다가 그 일부가 남아 있는)을 포함한 남산까지의 산행을 위한 야밤 드리프팅.

‘Lingering Impression of a mountain village’. It is a night drifting that will take Myungdong - a
commercial district since the Colonial era - as its starting point. From here, it will move on towards
Namsan (meaning South Mountain, in a literal translation, and formerly known as Namchon)
characteristic for having been chosen as a residential area by Japanese settlers during the Colonial
period.
Under the shadow of Namsan one can find the Itaewon neighbourhood, in Yongsan-gu, located in the
very heart of Seoul. Being a strategic location, it has been home to military bases since the Japanese
occupation, and continues to serve as a US military base.

conversation, dress up and dancing. In the spirit of French salons, English coffee houses and Korean
dabangs, the first in the series will be held in the historical and inspirational hanok of modernist poet Yi
Sang. To celebrate the experimental and potentially hedonistic life of modernist poet Yi Sang we are
hosting a ‘house party’ with DJs and open mic in the building that was once his residence. This is the
last weekend before it is redeveloped into the official Yi Sang memorial house so let’s dress up and
exult hedonism!

급진적인 작곡가 중 한 사람으로, 동시대 작곡가들 중에서 ‘음악에서의 불평등’인 훈련
된 음악가와 그렇지 않은 비음악가 사이의 구분을 가장 근본적으로 문제삼은
음악가이기도 하다. <대학(1968-1971)>과 같은 다른 작품들이나, 카듀가 동료 및
학생들과 조직한 “스크래치 오케스트라(1969-1974)” 와 같은 대규모 앙상블과 마찬가지
로, 193쪽의 방대한 그래픽 스코어 작품인 <논고>는 ‘음악에서의 평등’의 관계를 실현하
기 위한 목적에서 실험/아방가르드 음악의 실천과 급진민주정치를 결합한 또 하나의 탁

The British avant-garde composer Cornelius Cardew (1936-1981) is one of the most radical composers
in the history of Western music, who went further beyond than his contemporaries in the
problematization of the issue of ‘inequality in music’, i.e., the division between disciplined musicians
and disorganized non-musicians. Along with other of his works such as The Great Learning
(1968-1971) and the Scratch Orchestra (1969-1974), the extended ensemble he founded with his
colleagues and students, Treatise, the epic graphic score piece consisting of 193 pages, is yet another
excellent precedent in the direction of combining experimental/avant-garde musical practice with
profoundly democratic politics, aiming at constructing relations of ‘equality in music’.
