'이상과의 대화’는 근대 시인 이상이 살았던 집터이자 이상의 기념관이 지어질 가옥에서 발생되어 발전되는 프로젝트입니다. 이 프로젝트는 다양한 프로그램과 이벤트를 통해서 이미 확립된 유형의 유산과 기억, 기념비의 아이디어와 기념비적인 것에 관계하면서 질문을 하고자 합니다. 이상의 집이라는 특정 공간과 시간에 개입하는 이 프로젝트는 이상의 문학적 돌파구와 실험, 역사적, 사회적, 정치적 맥락에서 그가 살았던 시간과 현재가 같은 선상에 위치하고 있으며, 여전히 진행 중이라고 보는 시점에서 출발하여 다의적인 대화 만들기를 시도합니다.
Conversations With Yi Sang is a project aspiring to question established modes of engaging with legacy, memory, and the ideas of monument or memorial through the development of an events program in a building that was once a residence of the modernist poet Yi Sang and is to be redeveloped into an Yi Sang memorial house.
This intervention in this specific location and time attempts to establish a multivocal dialogue between Yi Sang’s literary breakthroughs and experimentation, the historical social and political context of his time, and current contexts to be carried out in the present tense.
